It's a really interesting transition point from fledgling adventurers digging for riches to having some power to affect the world. It had fallen out of favor by the time I started getting to play RPGs with others, but there is something to the level of agency it gives players that I feel is missing in more modern games.
I love domain play, troop play, or whatever the kids are calling it these days.

Yah. I've always liked the idea of the game story affecting the world . I think that's why T2K and even Traveller has a strong appeal to me.
